That finally made Zoro look up, his face slick with sweat – and tears? Surely not – his gaze intense as he searched Sanji’s face, the look in his eye desperate and unsure. At last he swallowed and nodded again, reaching up to cup the blonde’s jaw once more, “No, I won’t. But just in case, I’m trusting you not to let me.”
And that was easy to promise, Sanji nodding back as he leaned in that last bit, kissing the idiot. His lips were still soft, his teeth too sharp, and for a moment they went slowly, tasting each other, the aching need between them almost sweet, almost real.

Summary
Mandos' methods are obscure, obtuse, indirect and occassionally cruel. That does not mean, however, that they are never for the best.
Alternatively: Mandos has been making the House of Fëanor in Mandos watch Celebrimbor and his slow torture for years. When the youngest of them finally dies, it is left it up to them to try and pick up the pieces.
