Summary
"Rin deserted the army under the reign of Fire Lord Ozai. She’d seen shit. But being alerted that an assassin had breached the front gate, then discovering that the Fire Lord was missing? That was terrifying.
Finding said Fire Lord three hours later eating fire flakes with his feet dangling over the edge of a five-story building was just...Rin wasn’t even sure what to make of that."
Zuko is a little shit, and his blue spirit skills are going to drive his head of security up a wall. Literally.

Quincy watched in silence as the boy pulled a shirt over his head— one of Quincy’s, far too big on him— and revealed a head of curly white hair. When the boy turned and made eye contact with Quincy, he didn’t seem startled. He just tilted his head to the side, curious.
“...Hello?” Quincy tried, hoping the boy could speak. It would be much harder to figure out what the hell was going on if he couldn’t.

Summary
He hadn’t realised his shoulders had tensed up until now, when the nerves of his entire body had relaxed at his words. He snaked his arms around Rook’s waist and hugged him tightly, hiding his face in the crook of his friend’s neck, and wishing that the moment would never stop. Just one more second like that. He would give everything to indulge himself just a bit further. To tell Rook how much he meant to him.
How much he did to him. How much he cared.
How he hoped for Rook’s eyes to be only on him.
But he would stay silent and breathe in deeply. Focus on the unique scent of Rook, this lingering smell of the forest and the sun itself. Focus on his erratic heart and beg it to slow down.
Only then would he let himself fall asleep, lulled softly by the voice of Rook, who was probably energetically explaining why the new theater script he found on the bookstore was so good and why Leona definitely needed to check it out.Not even a few years later, when they both found themselves in Night Raven College, an earth splitting grin breaking Rook’s face as the mirror announced which dorm he would be staying in, the feeling that Leona tried to repress inside his heart was threatening to spill out once again.
