I wasn’t supposed to meet her.
She was Ian Doyle’s girl at the time. Soft skin and soft eyes. She appeared totally unsuited for the lives we lived. I was the local crime’s dealer in the small city of Tuscany, having gotten mixed into the lucrative drug business. I encountered her on my way to make a trade deal with Doyle.
“Lauren” would eventually come to think I was better than that. I was quick to flirt and befriend her, and she was quick to make me believe I could lead a better life.
Time was cut short on us. She died in a car crash. She was supposed to, anyways.
Having picked up my life and making my genius known, I was recruited into the BAU years later after I left my life of crime in Tuscany. And there she was again, only under a different name. Emily Prentiss. Well, fuck me. And fuck Emily Prentiss.
