“I know what you came here to do already,” Gekkouin clarified with a smug expression. Now that the distance had shortened between them, Yoichi grew hesitant again. Like before, he was feeling some weird pull towards Gekkouin, something inside his gut stirring that he’d never felt. Confused, Yoichi went still and his anger ebbed away.
Gekkouin stared down at him, locking their eyes together as he added, “But I already know you won’t kill me. You would have shot me the moment you entered my throne room if you were going to follow through with your goal. But instead, you aren’t going to harm me in the slightest…” Gekkoin’s smile widened as his voice lowered, and then, he purred out a sinister phrase that made Yoichi freeze with perplexity.
“In fact, you’re going to worship me.”
