Summary
An experimental containment breach leaves a section of the laboratory half-destroyed. It happens fast; glass, fire, a scream. Several Lodgers are injured, but the worst of it hits Jekyll, who ends up pinned beneath the wreckage, silently bleeding under the weight of collapsed scaffolding.
He’s pulled free, conscious enough to stand. To speak. To reassure...
And so, he lies.
Jekyll insists he's fine. He brushes off the deep gash across his ribs, the creeping internal pain, the way his lungs feel like they're half-flooded. He keeps moving, tending to the others, patching wounds, directing repairs, too scared of what might happen to them, to himself...if he falters for even a moment.
