    Summary

    I’m very inspired by the character of Sigyn in Norse mythology. She’s really only mentioned in one story, in which she holds a bowl over her husband, Loki’s, head to protect him from the venom dripping from the snake hanging above him. Loki is being punished, their children were slaughtered for his wrongdoings, she’s depicted as visibly uncomfortable in most art surrounding the myth, yet she remains steadfast and loyal. Sigyn is a picture of compassion, love, all the things I think Loki’s MCU counterpart sorely needed throughout his journey. More or less, this is my take on what a character like Sigyn could have done for Loki.

    Much of this fic will take place pre-canon, though we will delve into canon adjacent scenes as the story goes on. It’s a slow burn, we’ll deal with Asgardian politics, Sigyn will build relationships with all of our Asgardian favorites and… least favorites (Odin). This fic is very much a work-in-progress, and I tend not to write with any rhyme or reason, though I will arrange the works in chronological order. I so appreciate you taking the time to read and all of your patience with my chaotic writing order and nonexistent posting schedule.
