Summary
Vera is having one of the worst days of her life. Her eye hurts, her magic isn't working properly, she's leagues away from home, and she doesn't have the first clue how she’s supposed to get rid of a fucking mindflayer parasite.
Astarion is having the best day of his undead existence. He can walk in the sun, go wherever the hells he pleases, and, best of all, the constant murmur of Cazador's voice in his head has gone silent. Sure, there's the whole "turning-into-a-mindflayer" thing, but surely that will be resolved soon.
Spoiler alert: It would not be resolved soon.
