Loid, who was about to take a sip of his drink, paused mid-air.
“That’s a preposterous line of thinking,” said Hemlock.
“Well, what were we supposed to think?” said Millie. “Yor leaves a date with her husband to meet a handsome guy in a secluded spot by the river. It’s totes suspicious!”
