   Summary

Carl has never had a father's affection. Mordecai has been lonely and enslaved for thousands of years.
Unfortunately, in the midst of all this horror, there's so little opportunity to make up for lost time.
This story begins on the ninth floor, in the middle of Faction Wars, and ultimately continues where book 8 left off.
