Summary
After pursuing Dimensius to Ka’resh, Alleria learns the truth, their hidden ally is Xal’atath, the very woman she’s been sharing her bed with. Reeling from betrayal, she returns to her room in Tazavesh, seeking comfort in wine and a hot bath, trying to forget the woman she can’t stop thinking about.
But of course, Xal’atath finds her.
They share the bath, along with memories, confessions, and too much wine. Eventually, as it always does, the night gives way to something deeper.
