  Summary

  One day, Tate finds himself miraculously escaped from his abusive father, clawing on his last wits and strength and landing—somehow—into the safe arms of a police officer named James. James also has two kids: Hana, a 12 year old, and Kai, a 18 year old. His new house is so safe, so different.
