Summary
Jason sobs again, much too loud for the otherwise quiet of the room. Bruce will surely find him if he keeps acting so babyish. He knows the closet is a rather cliche hiding spot, but he didn’t know where else to go. There’s no where an alpha nose won't be able to sniff out. He just needed to buy enough time to make a plan. And now that he has Dick on the phone he can’t even get the necessary words out to ask for help.
“Nuh uh, no,” he whimpers, sounding much younger than he out to. “Dickie- please, I need, god, I can’t-” he wails. It’s so loud, he’s being so obvious. He’s going to get caught long before he gets any answers if he keeps this up, but he just can’t stop bawling. “Dickie,” he whines, helpless and hopeless in equal measures.
“I’m here, Jay, I’ve got you. Just tell me where you are and I’ll come get you, alright? I’ll keep you safe,” he assured him immediately, voice holding the same protective confidence Nightwing uses to comfort victims.
Jason wants to tell him that he’s safe, that Dick doesn’t need to drop everything and come save him. But he doesn’t know that.
