Waverly put her hands on Nicole’s hips and spun her in a full circle, Nicole’s arms raising up a bit as she twirled. Waverly wracked her brain for the right word. “You look … sharp,” she said with warmth in her voice, grinning at how devastatingly attractive Nicole looked in that vest and tie. “You look like some kind of steampunk dandy, and all the girls are going to swoon.”

In the five months between Bulshar's resurrection and the attack at Pussy Willows, Nicole and Waverly have to rebuild their relationship. There's a lot they still don't know about each other, and a lot they still don't know about themselves, but they know nothing can keep them apart.

A fluffy/angsty Wayhaught story set between the end of season two and the start of season three, where they cuddle in bed and bare their souls until they have to put on clothes to help Wynonna through the ubiquitous "demon hunting" stage of grief.

Nicole stood rooted, the gun’s barrel lowering in her hands and recognition blossoming on her face, as their breath frosted and hung in the cold air between them. “Waverly,” she half-whispered, almost like she couldn’t believe her own eyes.
Waverly took a half-step forward, a hopeful kind of glee rising inside her. She could almost pretend like none of it had happened, that it was never real anyway, how the Garden had twisted her mind and fogged her memory, because it did not matter in this moment. She was here, and Nicole was here. Home. She could feel the sting of the cold in her cheeks, and the smile that wanted to break out and split her face in two, and the triphammer beat of her heart and the way her throat started to tighten with huge emotion.

Summary
The warmth of that night lasts them into the next morning, and through the day; and that night when Waverly sleeps, the bad dreams stay away.
But then another cold morning dawns, and brings with it again that frozen unforgiving grief. Nicole comes back from the kitchen bearing two coffees, but when she sees Waverly's sad and distant stare, she sighs, puts the steaming mugs down to be forgotten, and gets back into bed.
“What can I do?”
Waverly shrugs.
“Kiss me?”

In the aftermath of 3x02 and 3x03, Waverly and Nicole take what comfort they can from each other. And have a long overdue conversation.

Or, the one where Waverly gets sucked through a hell dimension portal weeks before Wynonna gives birth, and everyone struggles to figure out how to go on without her. When she returns unexpectedly to find everything has changed in her absence, things get even more difficult.

Nicole has never been one to put down roots. She's moved from town to town, finding work with the local lawmen, and when she rides into Purgatory to fill the open deputy posting, she's not expecting things to be any different this time around.
But fate has other ideas.
She's immediately and inexplicably drawn to Waverly Earp, in a way that she can't explain. She falls into the same orbit as the others that Waverly holds dear, and before long, Nicole finds herself dreaming of a future and a home.
But there's darkness afoot in Purgatory, and anyone on the street might be more than they seem when fear grips the town in the wake of a string of disappearances.
