  Summary

"It's become my official codename, apparently."
"Oh? So what would mine be then, as an agent-adjacent operative?"
"Usually you gotta earn it, but for you? Demanding the spotlight, always dolled-up, and over emphasizing your presence whenever you enter a room? Assuming you want to match the bird theme, there's only one real answer."
"Should I take that as an insult or a compliment?"

Maybe it was an impulse for Agent Phoenix to drag John Juniper from the rubble of Zoraxis Defense. Maybe it was empathy that made them offer him a place to recover. But keeping him hidden from the watchful gaze of the EOD, including their handler? They were still trying to figure that one out, but at least he made for good company.

(Phoenix takes Juniper with them to Babadag, he does their boring paperwork, and they vaguely traumadump in casual conversation. Also no one else knows John is alive, oopsie.)
