I'm sure several people have noticed that my chaptered works have become locked, and might have come here to see if I left an explanation as to why. Both my co-writer / beta and I found out on the 23rd of December 2016 that two of our major works had been stolen by a Russian site (my work) and a Chinese site (both our work).

Instead of removing our works from the Archive, we decided instead to lock our work to registered users. This allows the work to still exist where we wish it to, but also give us some measure of protection. Of course, if it happens again, I am completely willing to pull all my works and only share in closed groups.
