He stared at the two, sitting on the sofa together. They looked perfect together, like they were meant to be, Robert’s arms wrapped around Gavi’s smaller body, his nose pressed against the alpha's scent gland. It made something ugly in him stir, an emotion he didn’t want nor like but couldn't control.
He used to be a part of it, of them. He’d had his spot at their sides, they were like a puzzle, fitting perfectly together until one day he wasn’t a part of the puzzle anymore. It was like somebody had thrown his peace away and connected the other two tighter instead, like he never were a part of it. It hadn’t been quick and drastic, rather slow and drawn out. He had slowly lost it. Slowly eased out of his usual slot and made more space for them. He couldn’t tell when it began, maybe it was when Gavi became pregnant, maybe it was before. Maybe he had never been a part of it like he thought he had been. Regardless, it hurt, hurt so much he didn’t know how to handle the pain.

“You are the nanny?” Ferran asked in disbelief and there was no attempt to hide the judgement in his tone. “Yeah, Fermín López” he answered as politely as he could, he already disliked this guy. His look was dirty as he stared him up and down “Are you gay?”

Fermín swallowed again, his throat suddenly feeling too dry “I-”
Gavi sighed, he could hear him stand up from the sofa on the other side of the line “You were with Ferran weren’t you?”
“Yeah” he whispered lowly, there was a small pause where all that was heard was rustling before Gavi spoke again “I will be over in five”

Ferran sighed again and leant closer to his friend, he would die if anyone else would hear this conversation but Pedri was different, he had seen Ferran embarrass himself to death multiple times and this was nothing in comparison. “I just.. I love Fermín, a lot” he began and Pedri frowned “Don’t tell me you did something to him” he breathed and Ferran shook his head quickly “No, no! Nothing like that just… he-” he swallowed “we haven’t had sex”
