  Summary

  “Are you in love with Cleo?” Drift asked Pearl late one evening. 
  The two had been sat on a log in the forest nearby Oakhurst, engaged in a rare friendly conversation between a human, and a vampire. 
  The way Drift asked Pearl the question was… bizarre however. It was comparable to the casual way one would ask their friends, how are you? Not: are-you-in-love-with-your-roommate-who’s-been-turned-into-a-vampire-but-you-still-keep-thinking-about.
