When he found out, he prayed to the Force that Cody, Wolffe, Ponds, Bly and all the other CCs he was close to managed to escape.
Rex wanted to think that his older brothers had found a way to escape and that they were okay, that they were looking for him, that they were trying to find him.
That was what he convinced himself to believe.
He stopped believing that lie when he found them.

“Ace, there you are, thank goodness. You caused me quite the ruckus chasing you down.” The monster’s voice settled, now much more Riddle-like but still with an almost strained, echoey effect. Ace despised it. Ace despised *it* in its entirety. He hated the sudden softness that the monster treated him with, as if he were a lowly ant that needed to be accounted for and cared about. If anyone was the crybaby here, it was certainly Riddle, not Ace that needed to be treated more diligently with—everyone already walks on eggshells with the Heartslabyul Housewarden around, anyway. He sparingly recalled taunting the redhead with ‘mommy, mommy’, and wondered what pile of crap he landed himself in now that it was just him and the rose-red tyrant. No collared card soldiers were in sight nor within ear shot. Perhaps Riddle had quietly called them off, now having caught his prey himself.

It's some kinda of.. thing? Okay, Ranboo knows that isn't descriptive but the walls are creaking weirdly and he swears there are eyes on him.
A Kkkk-rk sound came from the walls.
Ranboo let out a squeak
Then a snicker came from the walls…..Like an actual human snicker!
Tears dripped from Ranboo’s face. “”Psst, Tommy.” Ranboo whispered.
Tommy let out a whine “No Toms, run. That’s a doppelganger…” Tommy mumbled to himself.
What kinda dreams were those?
Anyways there's something in the walls.
Ranboo stood up still folding in him on himself.
“Good boy.” The wall? The thing in the wall praised. “Leave the room, come to me~” The voice was beautiful yet moist.
