Summary
Vessel reached out a trembling hand, not to the crowd but past it. To IV. Beseeching him to take it, to soothe him with his touch, to give back what someone else had so carelessly taken away.
Vessel asked him to give him everything he is; all of his sharpest edges, all of the light shining through the fractures at the core of him. Every piece of him felt cherished, all at once. Even the worst of his flaws were held up to the sun and found worthy of care.
IV knew immediately that they were destined, meant to be.
IV didn't go out expecting to fall in love, but by the end of the night he knows: he's found his soulmate. One day, Vessel will know it too.

He flinches, his body locking up on him as he looks wide-eyed at Haze. She jumps at the sight of him, and then she grimaces, turning away from him with a soft whine. He’s about to say something like, I’m almost done (though he probably isn’t), when she grips the door frame with a hiss of breath. Her legs are squeezed together, and she bends forward a bit, bouncing on her feet. Oh. Oh, that wasn’t a lustful mewl he heard.
UPDATE 21 October: now that this is finished, I can give it a summary that doesn't suck. This is a story about Perpetua and Haze coming to terms with a few newly developed kinks (read the tags), and how their relationship progresses with each other, and with Cirrus, as they figure it out. The other ghouls make appearances as well, though not as often. Everyone learns something about themselves, and there's a bit of emotional turmoil, but in the end everyone comes to a place of understanding and acceptance.
