She thought–well, she didn’t really know what she thought, but when she heard that her university’s team was having an open practice, she found herself there to watch. After a few minutes, watching a few more students and members of the community trickle in for the open practice before the first official practice match, Hitoka worked up the courage to slip forward. Out of habit, maybe, she made her way straight to the railing and grasped the metal in her hands, taking a deep breath and letting her eyes rove over the court.
“Oya oya, what’s this?” a voice, almost directly beneath her, made her jump and let go of the rail. “Isn’t that one of the little crows?”
