“Brandt.” Ethan cut him off after a solid minute of rambling about details that had already been included in the debrief. He was circling something, Ethan could tell, and every word that didn’t tell Ethan exactly what the issue was put him less and less at ease. “Get to the point. Please.”
“It’s a sex drug.” Brandt burst out after a second of silence.
Ethan was struck speechless. Surely- surely not. Surely he heard him wrong.
Oh god, Benji was going to have to be in the field for this one.

Benji get hit with an experimental bioweapon that leaves him panting and needing release. Ethan is all too willing to offer himself up to his friend and teammate, even as the shame and guilt threaten to eat him alive. After all, he had always been selfish when it came to Benji. He should have known that he wasn’t strong enough to deny that selfish hunger anything, even Benji’s own privacy.

At times Ethan Hunt thought it easier to view himself less as a man and more as a particularly complicated machine.
Machines don’t look at Benji - warm, brilliant Benji - as he stitches up a gash in his shoulder and want to ask him to never stop touching him, even if it's to pierce a needle through him. Machines don’t feel the heat of his hands as they ghost over his body checking for more injuries and think that the hit he took from a sloppy dodge was worth the bruise that spread across his left ribs in ugly blues and purples, just to have the heat stall and sink into him for a moment longer. Machines don’t pull their gaze away from the bruises and get caught on the way up on Benji’s lips, so close to him from where he’s leaned in to examine him, and want so badly and so suddenly that he has to press down on the bruise Benji hasn’t yet found on his right thigh to keep himself from doing something very, very selfish and dangerous. -

Fit had Pac's comm for three days. More than enough time to spiral and, unfortunately for Fit, there was a lot to spiral over.
