Anything that ever happened or was said between her and her castmates once the cameras started rolling had always been compartmentalized in her brain as simply what it was: Pretend. For entertainment. Irrelevant to her personal relationships with them, save for the very rare mishap that could have crossed someone’s boundaries, which was always promptly addressed and resolved.
But more and more these past few months, that line started to blur when it came to Amanda.

If there was one thing Angela hated, it was being a gay trope. If there had to be another thing Angela hated, it would probably be being desperately in love with her best friend, but wasn’t it just like her to double down and do both those things in the messiest, most painful way possible?

Summary
The rest of practice goes well for Angela. She ends up scoring another goal as well as an assist, and ends their cool-down stretch feeling somewhat hopeful about the upcoming season. That is, until Amanda passes her on the way to the locker room, ripping off her goalie gloves and muttering something about such a big ego for such a small person.
Not sure if she’s still in earshot, Angela mutters back, “Asshole.”

Summary
Angela is trying to navigate parenthood when she meets her niece's drop-dead gorgeous second-grade teacher. Unfortunately, she can't afford to be distracted. Not when her life doesn't revolve around herself anymore. She has her list of priorities straight. There was no room for new people and new feelings.
