Summary
Dozens of missing mages. A vanished investigation team. Three dead assassins. It’s obvious to all involved that they have a monster on their hands. And when you want to get rid of a monster…sometimes your only choice is to go hire one of your own.
Ordinarily, Genesis doesn’t mind being the monster called in to dispatch with other monsters. However, with this assignment…well. Period costumes are involved. And food service work. And glitter. And a distinct lack of magic. Can he manage to tolerate the misery of a summer spent masquerading as your average bloke working at a renaissance faire long enough to eliminate his target? Or will all the compromising situations brought about by attempting to navigate the mortal world push him over the edge and make him cast the whole damn place into the Abyss?
A (relatively) light-hearted murder-mystery story involving all manner of renaissance hijinks and mayhem.
