Summary
Zenitsu was supposed to be dead.
Instead, she wakes up reborn as Zenitsu Agatsuma—the demon villainess from her favorite novel, a character destined for execution, exile, or public disgrace no matter what route the story takes.
Fine. If the world insists she be the villainess, she’ll play the role.
Cold smiles. Sharp words. Emotional distance. Carefully chosen “wrong” answers. She follows the script exactly as she remembers it—because surviving means staying predictable.
Unfortunately, the role isn’t working.
Her attempts at villainy keep turning into restraint. Her “cruelty” sounds suspiciously like honesty. And every time she tries to step aside for the saintess and the hero, the story twists in ways it never did before.
Between demon traditions humans find horrifying, a political engagement she’s trying not to ruin, and an academy waiting for her to prove them right, Zenitsu discovers that playing the villainess might be the most dangerous choice of all.

Summary
The newest Hashira was an oddity and a mystery. Only a few years older than Muichiro, but seemingly so much more a child. Loud and displeasing to the ear, crying and wailing constantly, Giyuu didn’t understand how a coward such as Agatsuma Zenitsu could have ever reached a rank such as theirs, particularly without even so much as a shred of evidence regarding his skill.
It was one of the very few things he and the other Hashira distinctly agreed upon. The boy did not belong. He was unfit to be a slayer, a protector. The boy was a liability, and now, every day he would disappear, up into the mountains of the prefecture they were in, in the middle of winter with Demons supposedly about.
