Summary
Post S7: While a duty driven and exhausted Regina is struggling to unite the many kingdoms she's brought together, Emma is dealing with the end of her marriage and the complicated reasons behind that end. Many which seem to be about a certain hot-tempered Queen. Add on a royal portrait that brings up old nightmares, an impending realm-wide Ball, both women dealing with PTSD from their traumas, and Snow and Henry meddling and it's safe to say that things are going to get messy.
Or put more simply: a canon-adjacent, somewhat emotional, character study of two women madly in love who just need to get the hell out of their own way.

Summary
Regina Mills, now inexplicably (to her) the quite beloved Mayor-Queen of Storybrooke has been having strange dreams of late. Dreams that seem to be prophesying her upcoming death at the hands of an unknown creature. With a monstrous snowstorm bearing down on her little town, Regina does the only thing that makes sense (to her): she walks into the middle of the frozen woods and offers herself up in order to protect the family and woman she's come to love. Problem is, neither that family nor that woman has any intention of letting her go and Emma Swan never has been one for staying clear of danger and spending the night with Regina in the middle of subfreezing temperatures...well, it's romantic if you're them.

“Your cortical node is failing again,” Raffi whispers.
“I think so,” Seven says from behind the brightly blinking scanning screen.
“Are you in pain? Right…right now?”
Seven doesn’t reply, her jaw twitching.
“Baby, please. It’s me,” Raffi pleads.
She hears rather than sees Seven exhale. Then, softly, “Yes. I hurt.”

Or the one where Seven's mind is collapsing and while Raffi waits to see if an experimental surgery can save her, we take a trip down the memory lane of their relationship and all the beautiful complications of it that make it uniquely theirs.
