Summary
Navia was sent to the Faction Isles for reasons. A lot of reasons. Most of them include “learning” and “relative safety” and “slightly less murder”. Bah. As if she needs that. She’d rather be out there, with her mother, on the Princess Crown- except she’d really rather not, because the Princess Crown sunk.
So now, she’s here, with a healing (but still-broken ankle), a temper that flares like a bonfire in a drought, and grudges that can only be solved by murder.
She only learned about the grudges part when she got there.
Gods-damned Kites and their tendencies to shoot cannonball holes in the bottom of ships.Or, Navia Vilamir-Hyestryke is sent to the Faction Isles to learn while not constantly being kidnapped for ransom. Unfortunately, the very person who was in charge of the attack that sunk her precious ship is there. Bekyamon.

Summary
A colony of Igneodrakons, once strong and well-organized, now struggle in the absence of their Brood Queen. But all is not what it seems, and Karyri, suspicious of foul play, investigated the so-called death of her Queen - and secretly, mother - Vaumori. Turns out? It’s all a lie. The volcano colony’s Council is behind it all, and Karyri must find a way to save her colony from going down the depths of misguided hope and abandoned loyalty.
Or, mythical draconics from my worldbuilding project aren’t cooperating and the colony is falling apart.
