Summary
When Raoul becomes the patron of the Opera Garnier, he quickly learns of the "Phantom" that lives there. This Phantom has been sending threatening notes to the managers, frightening the performers, and most importantly, he seems to have an unhealthy obsession with Raoul's best friend Christine Daaé.
So when the managers come up with a plan to get rid of this Phantom by having Raoul get close to him and find out where exactly he lives underneath the opera house, he is eager to help them out.
All goes according to plan, but after spending some time with the Phantom, Raoul realizes he has fallen in love with him. Will Raoul stay loyal to the managers and Christine and catch the Phantom, or will he follow his heart and protect the man he has become infatuated with?

When he suddenly hears footsteps echoing through his tunnels he has no choice but to go investigate. When it is the last person he wants to see in the world, he somehow manages to hold down his own frustrations long enough to accept their presence since they bring news of Christine.
