“I’ve sealed the engineering bay,” Hermione admitted. “The coils are about to rupture it’ll kill anyone who's in here.”
“You need to go,” Fleur told her as she began working at the panel.
“We need to leave.”
“I can’t and you know it. Go, Hermione, he’ll call to abandon the ship soon enough.”
Hermione groaned but before she could speak another shot rocked the engineering bay. Pipes ruptured, Hermione pulled Fleur to the ground, covering her as a fireball burst forth.
Crying out, Hermione felt the burn on her back and shoulder but had dropped her head enough to protect her face.
“Hermione, you-“ Fleur began to shout but another hit threw them both away from each other.
A panel had burst off, landing on Hermione’s thigh, adding to her pain. Her ears were ringing, vision going in and out. She blinked in surprise to see Fleur gripping her face, her lips moving but she couldn’t hear anything.
“-Mione, we have to go, now!” Fleur yelled over the sound of mini explosions and gears grinding.
