Summary
Steve and Eddie are a little relieved to wake up at home in their beds completely unharmed after they take the fight to Vecna. That is, until they discover that Hawkins is completely empty except for the two of them, with no signs of their friends, the gates to the Upside Down, or anything that happened that week. Still, they’re safe and the town is intact; they’ll figure out why everyone evacuated tomorrow.

"It means…" Eddie drops his hands and takes a deep breath and when he looks at Steve his face looks… different. None of that usual Eddie attitude. In a voice much softer, eyes cast low, he says, "It means, when a guy tells another guy that they’re gay, it’s often because… Jesus fucking Christ." He sighs, rubs his hand over his jeans, swallows. "I’m into you. That’s all."

Steve rolls his eyes. “I meant it comes in handy when I’m carting the brats around.”
Eddie laughs, a fond little puff of air. “You’re such a mom, Harrington.”
