Summary
Twins Zavala and Talana are adventurers, searching for their missing parents in the Sword Coast and beyond. A miscast spell lands them in a lot more hot water than they've ever faced before: the middle of a war between templars and mages, with everyone's fears and hopes pointed squarely on them.
This is a crossover idea i had, in which someone from the world of Faerûn (the now classic D&D setting) falls into Thedas and views everything from the lens of "I also know magic and this shit is still weird." The main characters, Zavala and Talana, are no strangers to distrust, xenophobia, and all around fuckery, but Thedas throws them through a loop.
For those familiar with D&D, and Faerûn, I use the 5e mechanics for them. They start out at roughly level 14, since they are seasoned adventurers, though that doesn't mean much in Thedas. A few spells i take liberty with, for the sake of the narrative, but overall i try to keep close to RAW. When it comes to the things they do outside of the narrative must-haves, i actually do roll for them, and I'm a stickler for listening to my dice tell stories. -
