Summary
The Franklin Players Ensemble have been scrambling to find a director for their usual spring Shakespeare production ever since the usual one went on sabbatical. Apparently she’s off in Ireland in some kind of year-long workshop in the middle of a forest. Josh personally thinks it’s a load of bullshit, but actors are just kind of- like that. They think suffering and intensity is what makes art. This is why Josh doesn’t touch that side of theater with a ten foot pole. He’s perfectly happy with his stress-based suffering and intensity, thank you very much.

Josh Dun has been working as a stage manager for nearly a decade now. He has a routine that he happily repeats for each show after another. He has a good friend group, an apartment that is perfect for him, and a dog that he adores. Sure it's a bit monotonous, but that’s how he likes it. Safe, repetitive, and warm.
Then award winning director Tyler Joseph returns from New York to direct the company’s production of Hamlet. Suddenly, Josh’s peaceful little bubble that he worked so hard to build is threatened.
