Tenya Iida was in love.
He wasn’t sure when it began. Possibly somewhere in-between the first time he’d seen her, when he’d been unceremoniously dragged into what he’d thought was just a broom closet (only to find that that closet was not only much larger than he’d remembered, but also very much not a broom closet, but what he’d later discover to be an instrument capable of accomplishing the impossible) and the present, when, despite her being a variation of close he’d never dreamed of, she’d never been further away.
And now, standing on her doorstep, a bottle of vintage wine in one hand, he felt that distance sink into his stomach like a swallowed dumbbell.
