They were getting dangerously close to that same territory once again, the kind that promised exclusivity and romance and feelings and Ace wasn't here for it. He might like Marco somewhat but that didn't mean he wanted him around. In fact-
“This is the last time, Marco. I mean it.”
A single one of Marco's brows rose, an almost taunting look on his face. “Is that so.”
“Yes. For real this time.” Ace refused to acknowledge how many other times he had said similar things, each one turning into a lie as he accepted Marco again and again. But this time he was serious- he was still ignoring the fact that he'd thought this before. This was the last time.

Summary
In this timeline, Sabo survived. There was no ambush by Bluejam, no chains dragging him back to the hell of nobility. He stayed—where he belonged—beside his brothers.

Summary
The strawhats are reunited after two years, uncomfortably aware of the events of Marineford, too scared to speak of it, and wondering where to go from here. Grief brings out a new side of Luffy that they’re unfamiliar with, but they’ve never been a crew that backs down from a challenge. And they swear to never let him cry alone again.
Basically, the strawhats give Luffy everything he asks for.

Summary
Leaning in, he heard nothing behind the door. Either Ace wasn’t home yet, or he was asleep already. Though he didn’t hear the sound of the AC behind the door either, so he assumed the former. He knows how the older boy couldn’t go to sleep until his room was freezing cold, claiming he ran way too hot.
Actually, now that he thinks about the older, Ace has been acting pretty weird as of recently. Luffy already barely saw him, and when he did the man was always tired or hiding in his room. The last time they properly hung out was probably the night before they sent Sabo off.

Or, Luffy isn't the smartest guy around, but he knows his brother. And he knows he isn't okay.

Or, a story of how Ace slowly crumbles under the burdens of being the oldest. After all, if he doesn’t look out for his family, who will?
(He forgets a family entails a multitude of people. People who can look after him and each other as well. He learns though.)
