Bio
I was born Gabrielle Lawson. And that's what I first starting posting as. I began as a Star Trek DS9 fanfiction writer. My 1st story won an award in the Alt.StarTrek.Creative Awards in 1996. I went on to write quite a few others. I started writing in Lord of the Rings when the movies came out & after I'd read the books. I wrote under Ainaechoriel. Gabrielle means "God is my Strength". Apparently, Aina means holy, and echor means stirring. So "holy stirring" seemed a good fit. Ainae wrote 8 works. I became Philippe to write a Star Trek ENT story that was kicking about. Now, usually, I'd only write torture in service to a good plot. But here my plot served the torture. And there would be romance. I don't write romance. So I became Philippe de la Matraque. Philippe has now written 7 stories and all can be found here. I wrote a Zombies, Run! story as well and posted here.
All 55 (the other one is by a friend of mine) of them are posted, as 3 different authors and spanning 28 years of writing, from 1996 to today. I can tell you that my uncompleted works, Momentis (Final Fantasy XV), In Secret (Star Wars), The Path Not Taken (MCU) , and Perchance To Dream (Legends of Tomorrow) are still in my brain. I've never abandoned a posted WIP. So don't worry. It may take a LONG time between updates but they'll come.
When I finished my first story, I worried I would never have another story to write. Thankfully, I can say the magic or inspiration hasn't left me. It takes vacations now and then, but it keeps coming back, putting scenes or plots into my head. I hope you enjoy some or all of the stories that magic has given me to this point and will stick with me into the future.
