Jayce nearly choked on his own breath.
He absently licked his lips, heartbeat hammering in his throat, and nodded slowly. “I- Yeah, I’d like to think so.”
Viktor’s eyes flickered down, and then —deliberately and unhurriedly— his opposite leg shifted, his foot gliding between Jayce’s thighs.

Jayce had always wanted to believe in magic, in something beyond logic and reason. And if there was ever proof of its existence, it was the sound of Viktor unraveling beneath him. If all it took to hear it was surrendering himself entirely, then, frankly, he wasn’t about to complain.

He reached up to ghost his fingers across my hand, settling them softly between mine to start tugging at the tie. I tried not to shiver or change my pace of breathing, instead focusing on the way he undid the knot, but it was especially hard as he guided my own hands to do it with him.
It was slow, and probably unnecessary, and hot. Burning. Intimate. Maybe I was imagining it. Agonizing. Sensual. I glanced at his eyes for a second, and they met mine. It was like he was searching for something, and then, he found it. His pupils shifted and his eyes narrowed ever so slightly.
