The green knight walked up to the clothed table, axe in one hand and a holly bough in the other. He placed the holly on the table in front of Arthur and removed his helmet revealing he had, dark hair and a well trimmed beard, all with a slight green hue. The knight surveyed the table, thinking, than looking as if he had come to a conclusion, he spoke, “I mean you and your knights no harm my king.” He turned to the rest of the hall, “ even if I did your, knights are too weak to defeat me!” He boasted, which got a rise from the crowd and looks of disgust from some of the knights. He looked back at Arthur, “I would just like to play a festive game.”
