    Sai has been gone for 12 years, cast off from the family that adopted him, and now upon returning, he is left facing the wrath and discipline of his first friend and crush--Sasuke Uchiha, second-in-command to the city's greatest Mafia family. Attempting to make up for the past, Sai loans himself out as Sasuke's bodyguard, desperate to protect him by any means necessary. Little does Sai know that he may be the one in need of protection --from Sasuke. With Itachi's guidance, Naruto's assurance, and Sakura's support--Sai will do whatever it takes to reclaim Sasuke from the darkness, even if he must sacrifice himself.

    Hint: Semi-slow burn as the smut doesn't begin till chapter 4!
