Summary
NOVEMBER 2025 UPDATE: For years, I've wanted to edit this story. I learned so much about writing and knew I could make this story so much better. This fic has a special spot in my heart. I think it might be my favorite because it isn't what you initially expect it to be and has a great Everlark HEA ending. It's part sad, Capitol prostitute, part spy-thriller, part rebellion, love story. All of that is my long-winded way of saying that I'm currently working on rewriting this story. I should have 1-2 chapters finished every couple of days, so if you're interested in reading along, there won't be a long wait :).

Peeta is the sole winner of the 74th Hunger Games. As a desirable victor, he is quickly sold as part of Snow’s prostitution empire.
Katniss is a member of the rebellion living undercover in the Capitol.
Katniss and Peeta share one childhood moment and believe they will never see one another again until he unknowingly becomes the symbol of an uprising and she is given a mission to help save him.

Summary
Engaged to marry future physician, Rye Mellark, Katniss Everdeen travels with him to his family home in the mountains for the summer. There she meets his father and two brothers. As the summer comes to an end, Katniss finds herself inexplicably drawn to the wild, artistic, quiet, yet charismatic youngest brother, Peeta Mellark, even though she loves his brother, Rye.
When rebellion begins, the three brothers join the cause leaving Katniss and their father behind to care for the family land.
Tragedy, loss, jealousy, and war work to try and tear the family apart, but love will ultimately bring them back together and unite two souls meant for each other.
Very loosely based on the 1994 movie Legends of the Fall. The concept, setting, and some character traits are the same, but the ending is VERY DIFFERENT! Everlark endgame and eventual happy ending.
