Summary
He could already tell that the night was going to be a good one, relishing in the slight breeze ruffling his hair as he turned his gaze up to a darkened sky so clear he could see every twinkling star. Skeppy wonders if the villagers could see him from their windows, judging by the silence around him everyone had already locked themselves up for the night. He was the only one willing to still be out at once the sun sets, the only one not scared off by some simple stories intended for children.

Hovering over his curled up form, torch in hand, is a fucking demon. Because of course there is, Skeppy should’ve known that with all his bad luck of course he was going to encounter a demon. A demon that he’s run from multiple times, a demon he’s gone out of his way to piss off, a demon who is closing in on him fast.

“I-” Skeppy starts to speak but pauses when he processes what the figure had said. “Human?” He questions. “You’re- you’re not-” He tries to ask but the figure in front of him cuts him off.
“Not human?” It continues the question for him. It giggles, as if Skeppy said a joke. He sees something move in the dark and move close to its face. A small flame appears on what moved in the darkness and now that Skeppy can see he observes the creature in front of him. The thing that moved was a clawed hand, the features of the figure in front of him make his eyes widen in terror.
“Of course I'm not human.”
A demon.
