Jungkook stepped into the room late, confidently, wearing lavender slacks, a mesh shirt, and a shit-eating grin.
He sat down across from Seokjin, tossed his phone on the table, and said:
“Apologies. Some of us moisturize, not militarize.”
Seokjin forgot how to breathe. His wolf did not.
His scent hit like sugar and heat and defiance.
Yoongi, sitting beside him, leaned in and whispered, “Breathe through your mouth.”
“I am,” Seokjin hissed.
Jungkook’s eyes flicked up. Dark. Playful. He knew.
That smug little—

His wolf said it first.
Seokjin clenched his fists.
For the next forty minutes, he said nothing. Not about the projections. Not about the merger. Not about the line in the contract that would keep Jungkook on as creative lead after acquisition.
No, Seokjin stared.
