Felix watches the smile fade from Chan’s face. “You… What?”
“I don’t want us to keep pretending anymore.”
“Why?”
“I want a real boyfriend, Chris. Wanna go on actual dates again, and have someone to spend my heats with. It’s been kinda hard to do that lately when everybody is still convinced we’re together—“
A loud crack is the only warning he gets to look up with alarm, watching in shock as the glass bowl in Chan’s hands completely shatters in his tightened grip, the shards falling to the ground below.
When his wide eyes trail up from the floor to meet the alpha’s darkened stare, he feels his heart race.
“Lately?” Chan bites out, eyes flashing red. “What do you mean by lately?”

To put an end to the barrage of harassment he receives when going out, Felix takes up Chan’s offer of acting like they’re together at parties. A year later, Felix is done being just an act for Chan when he craves for more, stopping their arrangement in order to find someone who actually wants him, and finally get over these unrequited feelings.
If only Chan would give him the chance to get over them.
