“Which flavor? I believe there are strawberry, lychee, cherry, cotton candy, marshmallow.... unless you’d like some chocolate.”
Haru ponders for a moment, distracted by the way Daisuke absentmindedly fondles the candy in his mouth.
“Hmm....” A playful idea forms in his head. “I want this one.”

But Haru hadn’t counted on the staggering array of emotions he would feel knowing Daisuke lived with him. That he would roll over in the night and bump into Daisuke’s sleeping body, that he would wake in the morning to tufts of mussed up black hair and sleepy blue eyes, that he would be making breakfast for two and spending his mornings in his office with Daisuke on the small sofa to his left, flicking through his own emails and files, a quiet and constant presence near him at all times.
Daisuke has moved in with Haru in his New York City brownstone. It's not really any different than before, but Haru is seeing everything through new, domestic lenses, and it's having a marked effect on him.
