An illuminated beast comes across Aether and Paimon at the Statue of the Seven before they reach Mondstadt.
She decides to join them but has her own journey to go on while doing so. After all, while Zhēng are rather weak in their younger years, they are still seen as monsters by anyone who witnessed one.
Even in Mondstadt, where no one knows of Zhēng, non-humans are uncommon and as such suspicious.

Not part of the Cult AU, though. At least I didn't have that in mind while writing this.I'm probably not going to continue this, so I orphaned my very first work, I guess?
