Ellie almost feels as though the woman doesn’t want to be here but she throws that thought away when she begins speaking again. “As usual ladies first.”
The whole section of girls holds their breath as they watch the women walk over to the bowl holding all of their names on the small sheets of paper. Tess reaches into the bowl mixing it around some before pulling a slip out and making her way back to the microphone. She opens the piece of paper in what feels like snail-speed.
