Summary
This was during Seighdra’s time in the Dreaming City, the period when Uldren first discovered the truth: his long-dead wife had been reborn as a Guardian. They had to be careful, their actions shrouded in secrecy, for they were under Mara’s watchful eye.
Mara knew, of course. She always knew. But Uldren and Seighdra played their parts, feigning animosity to mask their connection. They acted as though they couldn’t stand the sight of each other, but moments like this - brief, stolen, and fragile - were their salvation.

Summary
This is a prequel to Stardust and The Crow. Seighdra Sov wakes up to discover that she is now a Guardian of the Last City. She remembers her past and has to deal with the fact that her husband, Uldren Sov does not like Guardians, so she doesn't return to him. Instead, she makes her way to the Last City with her Ghost, Raven. There she meets her friends and learns to be the best Guardian the Vanguard has even seen.
