Summary
Enid stumbles back, her legs like lead as she trails her gaze down, looking at the knife impaling her stomach. Blood stains her sweater red, dark against the pastel pink. A whimper leaves her lips, and she moves her hands towards the knife protruding from her torso, stained with red as she grips the handle. “Wednesday…” Her voice is a deathly whisper, loud in the quiet. “Wednesday.”
She moves to pull the blade from her, her hands wrapped around the handle when darker hands cover her own, she whimpers again as her motion is stopped. “Don’t pull it out, Enid.” Wednesday is sharp with her words, her gaze never straying from their blood-soaked hands. “It’s the only thing currently stopping you from bleeding out on the floor.”
“No, no- no, this can’t be happening-” Enid chokes of a sob as she shakes her head, her skin sickly and pale. She sways on the spot, her eyes rolling back and she goes down, falling into Wednesday.

Enid freezes. She knows that voice. She’s watched both movies four times, each. She has all five books, three of them signed. She’s watched interviews and conferences. She turns to her iPad and there she is: Wednesday Addams. Looking at her, one eyebrow raised, head tilted slightly to the side.
“Uhh… hi?” she squeaks out, face burning and mouth gaping open.
