So I was a bit daring in the use of some Characters, but I needed these in particular to make my idea work. The City of Splendors was meant to be the main character but... welll... things took on a life if their own.
    It happens.

“There is nothing noble about being superior to those around you. True nobility is being superior to your former self.”
    -Hemingway

    Q.E.D.

Now that the big baddie has been revealed and Tanya is truly "up against it", it is time to see if she has one last trick up her sleeve.
--This is the last of the eight stories in the series Tanya's Wars-
And I must say, its really great to see all the fan fic here, There wasn't much a year and a half ago when I started this (not that I think I had anything to do with all this) and it sure will be good to be done with my story so I can have the time to read some of it!

Before committing to writing another book along these lines, I wanted to ask you all - Is this something?

After that marathon with Tanya the Evil I had to take a break for a while, but I just binged on Firefly and Serenity and I had an idea about the future ... and since it has been 20 years since I watched that show on TV, I had a thought about the Next Generation.

This is more of a bit of future history and ... a request for feedback. Is this something anyone wants me to pursue? Let me know if this idea seems to work. Maybe I should RP it or look for a co-author, but we'll see.

Last night I finally figured out where all of this is going. It was just a flash that told me how all of this ends up, and it was a good one
I know it sounds crazy, but the truth is I had no idea up until last night, and it feels good to know what this was all about. It is also and good (but also a little sad) to know that the end of the thing is now closer than the beginning.
And thanks for all the good wishes, I have succeeded in quitting smoking and one look at my bank balance tells me this is going to be a permanent thing. I mean, damn, I had no idea...

Thanks for the support, that was a pretty rough month. Now, lets take that plunge into the unknown.

    Here I go again...

{There have been some challenges at my end in the last month or so. That damn google-thing has taken a dislike to me and endanger my connection here, I may have to continue as Jon of Narva2 or something if I can't get my Gmail back... just annoying as hell. And my personal health is not so great, but at least I will have time to quit one bad habit and take up a better one this summer. 33 years of smoking won't be easy to overcome but at least I know how to get myself into better shape.
    If I should vanish for a year or more (legitimately) I bequeath all of this to studio Nut, maybe they will have a use for it someday.}

    Anyhow, on with the story!

Once again, continuing right where I left off in the last one.
I know I can't make everyone perfectly happy, but this will be where a great many things come together in ways that I hope will entertain and surprise a good many people.

Thanks again for all the support and advice.
I will be taking my time with this one, having so many readers makes me want to review what I am doing more closely and polish things up a bit more than I used to do with FanFac. So, figure one chapter a week... and altho I know exactly what story I want to write, as usual I have no idea how many chapters it will take to make it happen.

A continuation of last year's tales.
I have not been able to catch much of the 2nd season yet (damnit) so please forgive any cannon deviations. Going off into left field with an addition to the crew and a new species of aliens is my way of avoiding such clashes... and it seems I was right about Alara needing time on her home world to get healthy again.

I will include a summary of the Series in chapter one notes instead of clutter this space up with it.

    Summary

First of all, I want to remind everyone that this is based off the ANIME. In my opinion, it stands head & shoulders above the L.N. and the Manga (thanks Taka, I hated it so much I read every page!). If you have not seen it, I highly recommend it… because that will also help you see where I get my cannon from.
And, I freely admit, that I expand on as this series of mine progresses.

This story takes right off from the end of the last one, literally from one sentence to the next.

Continuing my take on Youjo Senki, and taking Tanya back to the heart of the Empire for the first time since I started this.

I have no idea how long this will be or how long it will take to get it all done, but I do know that there will be intrigue, confrontations and a great many misunderstandings that need to be cleared up.
    As usual, comments are appreciated.

    Summary

This is a collection of smaller stories, so don't be afraid of the word-count.
Yes, they are all related and if you read them at all you should probably do it in order to avoid confounding yourself.

Phaing is the first of a new race called Zhrau to be met by the Union. While not looking so very different from humanity, they are starkly alien in almost every other way. They posses an intellectual ferocity that seems at odds with their passionate way of life, and none of them illustrates this better than Phaing herself... who seems to be used as a pawn by both sides in the Great Game of Galactic dominance.
Phaing has a feral innocence that makes it hard for her to understand the subtle play of power going on all around her, and in the long run it could well be that the people on the Orville are her only hope.
... and before the Zhrau are done with them, the Orville may be the Union's only hope, too.

This starts in North Africa about six weeks after Tanya's speech at the very end of the anime series.

What would it take to really get under Tanya's skin?
Wicked and brutal has already been tried, so what about something personal... and entirely unexpected?

“All sects deserve reverence for one reason or another. By thus acting a man exalts how own sect and at the same time does service to the sects of other people.”
    - Ashoka

This is a continuation of what I started with Elua’s Nightmare, which I now have come to see as a trilogy, oddly enough. Since Nightmare ballooned into nearly 200,000 words, what the hell, right?

    Summary

THIS is the Second Book in the Trilogy that started with Elua's Nightmare (Elua's Companion is #3) and takes place 42 years after the first book's main events.
This one is told from the point of view of the Dragon, Merrin, during the long century of Secret Guardianship over Terre d'Ange that he shares with Sushulana. This story is told in a different way from the others, and Merrin's head is a heavy thing indeed... please warn me if his style becomes too heavy.

See Elua's Nightmare Part I first, or you will be lost here.
Synopsis; As previously noted, this story is more of a journey into the minds of a couple of very unusual Characters, rather than the places and conflicts they cause. Phaing and her ship have been captured, and is questioned about her past and what her game is here....

    Summary

Told from the viewpoint of the Dauphine Sidonie, this novel kicks off just months after the wedding that ended "Kushiel's Mercy". Four of the sharpest minds and strongest wills in Terre D'Ange are swept up in a whirlwind that will test their problem-solving abilities, and Sidonie will be at the forefront. Outwardly willful and strong, she inwardly uneasy with the accident of birth that gives her such authority, and the dreadful responsibility that goes with it.
This work only exists thanks to the imagination and excellence of Jaqueline Carey. What you have here is naught but my tribute to the Best of all possible Worlds.
