Summary
Modernity—conscious or unconscious—colors the way we consume content that examines the past.
In the Regency era, a marriage between a 17-year-old girl and a 44-year-old man, though potentially eyebrow-raising, would not necessarily have been considered entirely shameful at the time—uncommon, yes. Rare? No.
An exploration of the age gap and what it means as related to "Her Hero," a Polin regency age gap story

Summary
This is a reference guide intended to help writers of Regency-era stories by providing a quick place to check whether a certain phrase was in use in the era, and if so, how it was used. The earliest attestation dates of phrases that postdate the Regency era might also make this guide useful to writers of neo-Victorian fiction.

Summary
Mycroft finds himself on the run in London, evading assassins and trying to keep himself alive--along with John and Mary's six-month old daughter.
This is all Procella's fault. She wanted more Mycroft X Baby madness. She got it in spades.
Disclaimers: I have no idea if John and Mary's daughter will even be born. Further, while there is a Croyden Minster with a 12 bell ring and a four-story bell-tower, everything else about it is entirely fabricated regarding said church, said tower, and said ring of bells. Everything I know about bells I stole from Dorothy Sayers' "Nine Tailors." Everything I know about guns and spies I got from reading too many trashy novels and watching too much TV. That said, I know a fair lot about nappies, mashed peas, and trying to sing babies to sleep.
Enjoy.
