Summary
In a way, this was the best and worst idea of their lives. But hey, they’re kids, they deserve this.
It’s summer, Izuku and Katsuki are five years old. Way before time fully starts to mean something and way before Izuku ever becomes Deku and before they ever knew something was going to drive them apart.
They both sit in a box at the top of the steps, in Katsuki’s house, their chosen place for shenanigans. They’re giggling, making sure they’re quiet so as to not alert Katsuki's parents.

Izuku felt his eyes bulge. Suspended in disbelief, all he could do was laugh.
In fact, Izuku couldn't help but think that this prophecy sounded like complete and utter bullshit.
Or, when Izuku finds himself in the capital, his world is upended. His mission? Protect the brash, foul-mouthed prince from the shadows, for he is the Hero who will wake the realm from her slumber… eventually.
But to succeed Izuku must hide that he has magic, unless he wants to end up on the pyre by morn.
