Rewrite of Strange House
Lately, it seems like Roark the Rock's been about to crumble into dust. His work quality is declining, he's taken an extended hiatus from his Gym, and he won't even set foot in the Underground. All of his friends are worried about him, but he keeps brushing off their concerns. He seems perfectly content to rot, but when his father's friend/boss, the chaotic and enigmatic Riley, shows up on Roark's doorstep one day demanding his expertise for a business trip to Hoenn, Roark's only too happy to accept. He'll do anything to get out of Oreburgh for a while, and Riley's an ideal gentleman. But does something sinister lurk beneath Riley's charming veneer, and if so, what does Roark have to do with it?
This is the story of one who can't wait to end, and another who is too afraid to begin.
